Task 1: Self Evaluation and Reflection

Table Of Contents

1. Lectures

Week 1
Ms. Nurul briefed us about our module and gave us an exercise for an introduction to FlutterFlow. We also have an exercise to complete before starting Task 1, which involves reviewing our previous UI design work by running it through AI using the prompt provided. We also have ice breaking session with quiziz to answer a bunch of knowledge about UI/UX.

Tutorial 1: AI Critique Audit

Week 2
LEVELS OF MOBILE UX
Level 1: Functionality
- does it solve a problem
- main tasks

Level 2: reliable
- does it stable?
- trusted
- another option if offline or online

Level 3: Usable (Ease of use)
- user achieve goal using the app
- thumb zone (min: 44x44 px)
- can reach elders

Level 4: Pleasurable
- give positive (happy, satisfaction) /negative (stress) feedback
- haptic feedback (vibrations)

Week 3

Tutorial 3: Design Native - Transitioning UI to Backend Logic
We are consulting with Ms. Nurul regarding our Figma file for Application Design 1. We will be reviewing the macro-interactions (navigation), micro-interactions (feedback), and our design for Firebase integration. After that, we will export the Figma file to FlutterFlow.

2. Instructions

Document 2.1: Module Information Booklet for Application Design 2.

3. Progress Work

To start with, she introduced us to the tools we'll be using for this module. We will use FlutterFlow instead of Figma. After that we are running through an exercise to review our previous work and write a comparison of the AI's feedback and our teacher's feedback. This will be the start of Task 1 regarding self-evaluation and reflection, so we will reflect on our work and redesign it if needed.

The aim of this project is to document the issues, problems, and difficulties encountered, and to propose solutions to improve the mobile app design from our application design 1 final project.

Below is the Figma Present view of my previous work in Application Design 1 (Before refinement)

During the tutorial session, we were given a prompt to use with an AI to evaluate our work. I used this to begin evaluating my previous Application Design 1 project. Afterward, I reflected on the mistakes I noticed and worked on fixing them. After evaluating each of the pages, I realized that only minor changes were needed, but they will definitely improve my design. Below is the document for final Task 1: Self Evaluation and reflection

4. Feedback

Week 2:
I ask for feedback about the format of the document for task 1 and Ms Nurul said I can proceed to continue

5. Reflection

This was a great first task. Since we are continuing the app design from Application Design 1, so the focus on evaluating and fixing our previous work was essential. As I noted in my reflection in the Task 1 document, this process taught me how to objectively critique my own work and identify mistakes. Overall, it was an effective way to start the module and improve my self-evaluation skills for future projects.
